Welcome to the Chester, Vermont, Historical Society web site!  Since its formation in 1972, the Society has been actively involved in perpetuating the memory and spirit of the early settlers of Chester, encouraging historical research into the earliest records of the Town, and fostering the preservation of documents, relics, sites, cemeteries, buildings, and properties of a historical nature.  Our primary purpose, however, remains to bring together those people interested in history, and especially the history of Chester, Vermont.  If we have baited your interest, we encourage you to join us!
